Does anyone have a strong preference on how long a main line should be run off lead core before your leader ??
I used to use 100' on everything, spring, summer and fall. But last year I switched to 30 to 50 feet of main line, a few (1 and 3 color set ups) I left longer trying to get my streamer further away from the boat.
But I think to get maximum effect and action from led core maybe 30' might be better, did very well last fall on 2 and 3 color set ups ran off a G2 Ball 15 to 20 feet down.
But this past winter I think I went back to longer (50 to 75 feet) main lines, might have made a mistake.
Does anyone have a strong opinion on this ???
Also need trailer advice, but not many Pontoon guys out here I know,will only use it a few times a year, but a long haul to Florida and back, nothing to skimp on I guess..
