Fished the North end of the lake Saturday. Saw a big, beauty of a Black Bear in the road in Meredith to get things started around 5:45am. Had the lines wet by 6:15. Managed two Salmon, both around 17" but healthy, and one small 13" Rainbow. Lost a nice Rainbow 20' behind the boat. Not bad until the crowds came around 10:30, so we packed up and left. Orange/Copper and Silver/Copper were the hot patterns. Early Rainbow at 2 colors as they were rising everywhere. Salmon at 24' on rigger, and 5 1/2 colors on Lead.

Time to start fishing during the week now, too much traffic on the weekends. Where did you launch?

Ctr. Harbor. Fished west side of bear out to six mile and around that whole area. Same today (Sunday)with the same results. Bite was late today. 10-11am saw five hits with three in the boat. Too crowded, so we left at 11:30. I suppose that's to be expected with the long weekend. Fish seem to be starting to set up. Lots of fish today 25-30,with just the scattered few below 30'.
