Took the weekend off for the 4th and headed to Lake Champlain for some R&R and some fishing. It took me the weekend to figure out these giant Cats but we finally did on the last night. We landed three huge Catfish all over 30”’s. My 11 year old nephew caught two. We had an old scale and this fish read 20#’s on it I believe it was all of that if not more. (Caught him on an 8’6” Wright Mcgill rod with 20# braid) These things are pure muscle and pull like you cannot imagine if not for a great rod it might have broke in half, what at battle! My nephew’s fish were both 18-20#’s as well but I don’t have the pictures of them yet… I’ll post them when I can.
