Ive had Mercury my whole life. Never had a problem with and of them. From 6 H.P to 60 H.P. I love the new 4 Strokes. Some people say they don"t like merc. But have they ever own one.My choice would be a 4 stroke. It will save you big time on fuel.And they will troll down too 2 mph.Don"t need a kicker or bags or buckets.Just get regular service and they will last a long time. And you can troll all day and they won"t load up.
