We had a great day too. Great numbers day and many of the fish were healthy 3 year olds in the 19-22 inch range. Brought a really nice laker to the boat but he came unbuttoned at the net. It was fun to watch and we got to see the fish (which we would have released anyways).
We went out from the ramp at dark and got on location at "shooting time" and had our first fish in minute and 5 by sunup. It was COLD! Where our first fish was netted over the deck and it got wet, we had ice to contend with until about 8AM.
Only a few hook wounded fish (one came home with us). Only a handful of first year fish in the 16 inch range. Not too busy where we were and several boats only stayed a short time and left.
