We had a really nice laker right at the net on the opener but he shook off.
This time of year we land a few lakers a day that will come up for the bait or were in shallow water boardering deeper water but I hardly target them because I'm too nervous about losing my gear on bottom.

Cannon Digi troll downriggers w/ bottom tracking.......takes away that anxiety!!!! If you look hard you can find them used on craigslist, especially around the great lakes....... Set em and forget em....lol
