Forry & Pete
There is NO question in my mind about what F&G will do with your buddy. Although it may be or was an illegal fish to "keep" in the "appropriate" fishery. I am sure you will find that it was not in Winnisquam. NHF&G did not stock them in there, and by accounts I have read from NHF&G, absolutely does not want them there. NHF&G "manages" fisheries in the state. Northern Pike are not part of the management plan in Winnisquam! Bucket biology is illegal in NH, and subject to fines. The reason is, the bucket biologists interfere with NHF&G biologists. The bucket boys can throw a huge wrench in the "official" management plan!
BTW, as you can guess, I am not an official spokesman for NHF&G! Please give them the credit they deserve. I will be surprised if a NHF&G rep does not reply to this thread and clear up any questions on "taking of Northern Pike" in Winnisquam.
