Hit the Big Lake on Sunday afternoon on a friends boat with my youngest. He had a great time (and lots of junk food) and boated 7-8 salmon (all good sized and healthy fish). We went out Monday morning again with just the older guys and fished until 1. VERY calm on the lake and the slowest fishing of the season. We boated two lakers in the morning on glassy waters. We got a little chop later in the morning and moved around a bit until finally getting on the bite around noon - boating 6 in that last hour.

Water temps extremely warm for this early. Temps from 59 and up to 65 near shorelines. The derby could be quite the challenge.
