Like others I went the less expensive way. In my open 14 foot starcraft I made a wooden pole that I mounted to the floor up in the bow. I mounted and old Penn 320 GTI to the pole and bought planar board line and use that. On the Proline, depending what you have for a hardtop/bimini you can buy the Big Jon reel like I did and mount that to the stantions or I even run mine off the bowrail.
