Can't go wrong with Big John all aluminum mast with double reels. I purchased the flat mount and I think it's about five feet tall. I have a 19 ft. Great lakes and mounted it on the deck as far forward as I could. I can almost snap my bow cover around it. With the windshield closed I can use a boat hook or if the curtains are up I use a short piece of bright green line with a dog snap to pull it in for set up. Nice tug action from the boards and spreads out the lines, if I go alone to scout, I'll put out the port side only. Good luck!
