Have we now come to a point where you can't even have a little fun with fellow fishermen/fisherwomen? Or is it just me? I can see a persons post being taken down if, the person posting was swearing or telling lies about the person/s mentioned in said post, However if a person is stating the truth I can not see it. Are people so thinned skinned that they evidently go complain to the owner of the site, or the owner of the site just decides (which it is true, he/she can do whatever they want it is thier site)to remove a post because someone is needling someone tongue and cheek? I seem to recall a day at one of the gatherings where we had a lure taping contest. alot of us participated in it, well the final decision was up to Travis. He just so happened to pick my lure as the winner. I later heard through the grapevine that Travis was asked if he didn't want to reconcider his choice because it was Forry's lure.( the person who asked that question Knows who they are).
Travis as you may remember did the honorable thing and put our(his and mine) differences aside and awarded me the prize. I have been critisized on this site many a time and ya maybe alot of it is justified, (and some not). But I don't believe that you have ever seen me or heard about me crying to and ask, (if this was the case ) to remove a post that although may be true but I could have been offended by, nor would I if the post was stating only the truth. I think it is pretty sad that we live in a land that we can't raise a little cain and kid one another. I won't mention who I am talking about or what one of my replies was removed, but the ones who read it before it was removed know who I am talking about. All I can say is I wish people wouldn't be so thinned skinned, and accept a little teasing. Life is too short to be take everything to heart. I only hope that this [post does not get taken down as well.
