i use roemers that slide up the cable, you need to setup 3 feet above a horizontal blade setup. the vertical would be your best bet but im always concerned that it will break and ill loose the ball. running both do work better. you could use your release with a horizontal if you make a 3 foot cable extender between release and ball. for what its woth ive used all sorts of attractors and it always improves things, doesnt seem to make a huge difference, in a pinch ive used an old license plate attached to the ball, rubber mackerel etc but blades do work a little better
