Hit the water at 6:30pm for an evening troll. Forgot my gps so had to guess my speed but I guess I had it dialed in from past days out. In a few hours picked up 6 fish mostly small football salmon small bass and a large fish that broke off right at dusk. I didn't have much time to react to that fish using leadcore with all but a few colors on the reel left and a bit of backing. I saw the line running out so thought I would slow the fish down and it didn't take long for the leader to brake from the swivel. 4lb test flouro is not that forgiving on a big fish. One more break off and I am upping the lb. test. I feel that the smaller diam. helps catch more fish though, who knows if that fish would have hit on say 6 or 8 lb???
White perch fly and small gold and orange mooselook at 6-7 colors over 50-60ft of water near deep drop off's did the trick. All out of white perch fly's time to go shopping.
