hit the lake at day break on saturday for some salmon, did quite well. i almost didn't go because of the weather but i'm glad i did. it was one of those mornings where you have difficuly getting all the lines in the water because you keep catching fish. gotta love those.. the white perch fly once again was the hot lure of the day. ran it at 5 colors on the lead. most of the fish came on that. a couple off the riggers at 30' with an orange/silver chappys spoon. lost count of how many fish, but they were all salmon and all good sized. here was the biggest fish of the day, a 22"er weighing 4.5 lbs. we caught several more that were slightly smaller than this, probably in the 3 lb. range. great fishin, great weather. had a great day on the water.
nice sunrise too.. the clouds were really dark, almost black, but fortunately they were headed away from the lake.
