Why can't you use a spinning rod on a FLYFISHING ONLY pond?
Can anyone tell me why fish and game made a law that prohibits the use of rods and reels other than fly rods and reels on FLY FISHING ONLY ponds? Why are they doing this other than for the purpose of helping out vendors? Are you telling me that putting a fly on a leader from a spinning rod is any different then it would be on the end of a fly rod? We all know that you can also put a lure on a fly rod line as well as you can put it on a spinning rod, So I don't believe there is a legitimate reason for this rule/law. Now I can certainly afford a fly rod in fact I own several, but what happens to the people that can't afford them, and are lucky enough to afford a fishing rod at all? these Ponds are stocked with the fish that all of us are paying for including the people s money who can't afford that fly rod. You can troll a fly on any other ponds from a spinning rod set up why shouldn't you be able to do the same on the FLY FISHING ONLY ponds after all a fly is a fly no matter what it is attached to. so I ask other than the fact that it helps the vendors which to me should not be, why is that a law at all?
