Nice day on the water. Started fast with a 15" Bow on DR.2 more small bows on lead and
DR. 3 rock bass and a white perch followed. 9 o'clock bite failed today. Next a runt Salmon. Had
to work for the next Salmon 18" on DR. at 50'. At 1 pm the last fish of the day a 17" Bow. Overall
the fishing was slowww.
Thanks for the report!
When it gets slow we go deep for lakers, keep a down rigger or two 6 to 8'off the bottom 10- 20' behind flashers...helps when it is slow..
That thought did cross my mind, but it was towards the end of the trip so it didn't happen.
Thanks for the feedback.
I’ve also caught some big salmon down over 130’ as well, and a decent rainbow.
Yeah it was mid summer 90 degrees out and a buddy and I had taken the day off of work. About noon we sent everything super deep for lakers. If I remember correctly we got 3 salmon in a row all way down deep, and each salmon was over 20”. We were going for lakers, and I never would have thought salmon would be down there feeding.
