Dragged streamer flies round Merrymeeting Lake Saturday from 6-10 a.m. hoping for one of its big rainbows. Had a couple of salmon or trout flash at our flies when we were bringing them back to the boat, but no takers despite a nice salmon chop. Ended the day with two 3lbs+ smallmouths. Talked to one boat that said they'd had four fish early off downriggers at 10 feet in the south end of the lake. First time we'd ever fished this lake.
