04/23/06 Water temp 51, 54 degrees in some places, 47 degrees at 15 feet.. Fished 4 lines, all hardware, caught 7 Small Bows (10 inches) recently stocked in Sandwich Bay, not one tripped a release, too small, found a couple on checking lines, strange thing no small salmon.
Water temp 50 degrees, 1 color, 100' mono off boards and 5 to 7 feet off riggers, caught them on:
Top Gun Orange/Gold (2 fish) proven winner for many this year so far.
Orange/Gold New Sutton #61 look alike from AJ store (2 fish) may be a winner, will try other colors.
Pimp Spoon (3 fish) home tape job, DB Smelt, has Orange/Silver/Copper/Gold,Pink, etc. 7 different colors on both sides (guy that works for me made up ????) Maybe we should copy it as it has been working when all others fail so far ???????
Switched to all live bait at 12:30, had a nice Salmon on before we got two lines out, a beauty but lost at he boat, slider rig let go at the hook, spider wire was all we had left no hooks at all ??????? No more bites, quit at 1:30.
