The Peggy C has a new antenna. Same one you have Yo. We now have a range of 20'. (actually probably 20 miles)
Salty: What make / model antenna did you get? Also, what kind of radio do you have? I bought some small handheld Cobras and I gather they are pretty limited if not useless... Any info appreciated. Thanks. -Eric
Radio is a Ray 53 and antenna is a Shakespear Galaxy.(8" antenna mounted on hard top)

Lets get this straight Salty, you have an 8'antena that talks or has a range of 8", or is it the other way around, 8" and talks 8'. I don't use an antena or radio, I just yell overboard. John S.
