I too really like the Scotty releases. The regular size and the "minis" seem to work equally well. The Scotty "clip" to the downrigger cable for "stacked" lines on one rigger also seems to work the best of the types I have tried. These snap onto the rigger cable where ever you want them and then slide down to the rigger weight when you pull the rigger to the surface. My only complaint with the Scotty's is that the minis are attached to the snap with a fine steel crimped leader that has failed a couple of times(crimps pull apart). I now just re-rig them with 100 lb test mono which works very well and is strong enough to pull in the rigger weight to the boat if needed.
