Re: dodger rigging help

I asked this question a week ago and got no help.I guess we missed this topic when it came up earlier this year.I have found some info go to www.lakemichiganangler.com on their home page is a column click on tips and techniques & you will find dodgers. As far as which end to rig I would say that the swivel goes to your lure so you can change up lures without retying. Both ends of the dodger are shaped the same. good luck & check out the site lots of info.

Re: dodger rigging help

There is a small rudder on the rear of the dodger, that is the end you tie the flie, etc. the other end to you line.

Re: Re: dodger rigging help

We usually tie a fly or streamer on 10-12" behind with mono leader.

Re: dodger rigging help

Hey Wayne..

The end with the snap swivel is where you tie your flie or lure on too.. or smelt.. depending.. You can run short leaders.. 10-12 inch or longer leaders.. 18-24 inchs.. depending on your trolling speed and your desired bait.. There are lots of ways to rig them.. I like them with a Pauls Bait Rig and a dead smelt.. works great..
