Hello all,
I'm looking at doing some lake trout fishing and was wondering what spoons work the best for lakers? I've used TG before but was wondering about other spoons that work and other people's thoughts on their 1st choice when it comes to fishing for lakers..Thx Dan
I'm primarily a salmon fisherman but, for lakers I've had good luck with Super-dupers. Which aren't technically a spoon. (They look like a tie clip.) I use the one's that are about 2 1/2 " long (I don't remember the mfg. #.) Also, Sutton spoons copper/silver #44 or 66, both on lead core.
I'm sure there are lot's of guys who are real "laker experts" who visit this site & who will respond to you with lots of info.
ive had luck with big flatfish, and size 72 sutton hammered silver and gold flutter type spoons. that big sutton will pick up a few salmon as well, i fish mainly sabego
