Hey TankDriver

Just wondering if you're still stopping by to pick up the trolling bag? Its in the breezeway like I said in my email if you want to borrow it. If you don't need it, would you let me know. Thank you, Craig

Re: Hey TankDriver

Hey Craig,

What's all this talk about estimates, work (home and on the jobs) meetings all day long, etc. Your never far from your computer (or your boat) do both you and Dave have a special computer that works anywhere ????

Just teasing ya, I was on quite a bit yesterday myself, we got a good run on the trolling plate question. But I did get some work done, went to a long dentist appointment (they do that to justify the cost) sold a couple of jobs (not bad for being retired) and caught up with allot of stuff.

RFP (Retired Fishing Partners) innaugural Amrmada for today was cancelled due to foul weather, all set now for Friday to try it afain. looking out my window I'm not really sorry.

I'll be sending your care package up today.

Not sure when I will get out again, Friday or sure I hope and maybe this weekend.

If anyone gets a Lowrance Ducer with a suction cup mount (I guess tempoary set up) the cable is about 6 feet shorter than the normal cable. They sent me one, we had the boat pulled onky to find the cable too short to do what we had in mind, running two ducers side by side. I called (took forever to get through) and they are sending a 12' extension cable. Hard to reach, but once you do they are very obliging.

By the way when we were out on Salt'y boat, his ducer was picking up his downrigger ball as the bottom now and then, it read as 14 feet, but showed the depth on the screen as it really was. I have never seen that before, when mine lost the bottom it showed it on the screen and the numerical number. His screen looked normal but read out as 14', still showed the correct bottom, I could live with that I guess.

Another strange Lowrance happening, they still swear they have no real problem, at least they back it up when you call them.

LOL Hey John, That's the joy of being back in college LOL Im always working on papers or projects for school so i pretty much live on the computer while the semester is going on LOL, After being gone for 2 days i think I've justified why i need to buy a laptop now i just have to convince the wife that it's for school LOL I gotta start hanging around with you and Adrien some more so i can learn how to spend $$$$ LOL Take Care God Bless and Tight Lines Dave!!!

Re: Re: Re: Hey TankDriver

Spending it's very easy and simple, I've taught many people the art, making it however can be a challenge at times.

Speaking of "making money", I'm outta here, I do work now and then even though everyone thinks I'm retired. Like I said before, semi-retirement is more than I can take, I'll never go all the way and have no free time at all.

I talked with Popeye his knee surgery went very good, he'll be recuperating later this week on the pond if he can pass a drug test.

Re: Hey TankDriver

Hey Slipknot,

Sorry about the delay. Yes, I do plan to stop by, my girlfriend's dog had to have a complete "girl" exam at the Vets yesterday, which coupled with the lousy weather delayed our coming up to the lake.
Thanks again for the loaner. I'll be by either tommorrow afternoon (on my way up) or Friday PM (on my way home.) If you need to use the bag, I can do this another time. Don't put your fishin' on hold for this, OK? (Priorities!)

All the Best,

Gary

Re: Re: Hey TankDriver

Tank Driver... no problem, I don't use them anyways...
They'll be there whenever you come up.

John... LOL... so do I have you confused or what???
About half the time I'm on this site its from my laptop... I take it with me in the truck quite often. Its amazing how many places you can get wireless connection... seems like a lot of people don't make their wireless units "secure" or "encrypted" and I can just about find signal in any neighborhood... good for me, but a potential problem for them if someone wanted to hack their system.
I normally check emails and stuff at breaks or while waiting to meet clients and such. Keeps me from getting bored.
Matter of fact, right now I'm at a house the next street over from mine and was able to log into my home wireless network. Good thing mine is encrypted... amazing how far a signal will go.
Take care and catch tons of fish.
