Hey John, You had me worried for a minute there LOL i thought you were gonna say you lost it overboard on the lake LOL Take Care God Bless and Tight Lines Dave.. P.S. I'll write down your number and give ya a shout if their biting down on Winni!!!!!!!
I called John H. Sampson yesterday evening when he said he lost his phone. I called all 3 of his numbers as i planned to invite him fishing. No answer anywhere. Since i had no partners i decided not to go, (I didn't like the cold front rolling in either)
Anyways at 3 AM the phone rings, Thinking it is some kind of emergency i run through the house and say hello and i hear,
"who is this?"
"It's adrien who is this?"
"WHO?"
"It's Adrien who is this?"
"OH hi Adrien It's John, what are you doing up so early?"
"The phone rang and woke me up , what do you want?"
"Oh i am just heading out fishing"
"OK"
"So what do you want?"
"What do i want? you called me?"
"Nothing"
"OK Bye"
I think Sampson is losing his mind, along with his cell phone which he will probably catch while trolling at the bottom of Squam today, his mind i don't think he'll be lucky enough to snag, LOL LOL LOL
Oooooohhhh.... cruel... but funny.
John, I hope you found that phone or had it shut off so no punk kid goes making 900 calls on it! That would stink...
And Adrien... if you are ever without a fishing partner again, just email me. I'd love to meet you and fish with ya. (My boat or yours no matter) John swears you're a great guy!!! Even after all the ribbing you give him! hehe
yeah we are going to have to get together sooner or later. I didn't decide until really late to go. and i didn't have many phone numbers to call. send me yours so i can call in a situation like that.
Bluejacket i also lost your # Again! send it over if you don't mind.
OK I guess I deserve that, my version, not much different. I left at 3:00, saw a missed call with a "603" area code. Thinking it might be Dave from up North heading down to Winnie (as he said he would give me a call today) I called the number. The rest of the story was as Adrien described it, except after realizing my colosal mistake waking the poor guy up, I aplogized for the call and said "seeing that your up, do you want to go fishing ?". He said he couldn't make it today, but I think he just didn't want to go to Squam on Pontoon boat. Can't say I blame him, can't wait for another invite to go out on the YOAdrien..
As for the fishing it was our best day this year (so far) on Squam, see our Squam report.
Again I'm sorry buddy, I know what a horror getting a phone call in the middle of the night can be when your not expecting a call. But when I really need to reach you, I know when to call now, seriously, I'm realy sorry.
I'm still laughing about it, and it isn't the pontoon on squam i actually do want to go. I really should have gone today just wasn't thinking straight at 3 am.
Don't sweat it a bit.
