My buddy Ilucas and I are thinking about taking a trip out to lake Ontario. what are the law regarding registering our boats. I am from MA he from NH can we use our boats on Ontario or do we have to register in New York as well? any input will help thanks.

Your present home state valid registration is good for NY State for a short stay. One thing is to make sure is that you have all of your safety equipment working and up to date, like flairs etc for your size boat. Get a chart of the portion of the lake that you are fishing.

Gray ghost is 100% correct. Registration is o.k. just be carefull out on that body of water if you never have been there before. high winds from the west can turn that place into an ocean in seconds. Talk to locals on whats happening with salmon and browns they all are very nice up in that neck of the woods. I fish out of henderson harbor in Henderson. [south of watertown] EASTERN BASIN.
