Re: need a little help from my fishing friends

I called the marine patrol and parisailing on Winni is not allowed without a permit, and your chance of getting one is next to impossible. Sorry.

Re: Re: need a little help from my fishing friends

Thanks for the help salty....I had thought I had read awhile back on the lake winni site it was prevented these days....
anyhow, happy fishing my friend, ill be trading in my topguns for chunk bait the next few days, as i have a great place to land strippers on the danvers river here in town!

Re: Re: Re: need a little help from my fishing friends

What will you be chunking for Stripers? I always saved time by buying herring but can't use them this year?? Can't always find the macs.

Re: Re: Re: Re: need a little help from my fishing friends

was wondering why you can't use herring ,I used herring all weekend .

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: need a little help from my fishing friends

We plan on using herring Salty, if the bait store has them? Did a bait law change that I don't know about?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: need a little help from my fishing friends

The only law I could find on fish and game's website regarding herring was a limited closure to COMMERCIAL fishermen. Any boat not targeting herring can take up to 2000lbs of "incidental" catch even during these closures.
I don't see why they wouldn't be allowed for bait? Maybe the law has been "misspoken" as it has passed from person to person?
We caught more herring last summer than mackerel when we fished for striper bait... unless something major happened, I don't see there being a lack of herring.
This is my opinion based on what I found at the NH F&G website... do not accept it as gospel... I could be wrong?
Please post if anyone has more info.
