fished meredith bay this evening from 5:30-8:00 did pretty well we got 5 lakers, 1 salmon, and donkyed one other salmon.One laker caught at 25 ft off rigger on orange,red,purple black dot top gun other lakers were at 47,57,60,and 62ft on red and white 61 gun off rigger.The salmon caught was at 22ft on red and white 61 gun a real beauty 25inch fat fish when i got it to the boat the first time it did an incredible tail walk out of the net and smoked out 60ft on my downrigger rod finally i talked him into coming back for a better look we put him back for another day another productive evening on winni.
Is that the same red/white 61 gun you were using at Squam, similar to a NH guide ????

I have a 61 gun Ive only used it once. So, they do cathch salmon I was wondering about that. How slow do you need to go my boat only goes down to 1.7 1.8 mph. What do you think? Sounds like a nice fish

The 61 Gun in question was used by Kersten and not I, but I have used the 61 gun, they are a close copy to the original Sutton 61. I have caught fish on both types of 61's and we troll from 1.8 to 2.2. Perhaps Kersten will also reply.
