I am going with my dad. Travis and his dad and friends. Me, Travis, and our Fathers are 4 together in the TEAM competition. Our name is "Fishlakewinni.com Fleet"
Matty and some friends will be there with a couple boats. Roland and Lena and more i am forgetting right now. Thousands of fisherman over 3 days and nights and you can win thousands of dollars with a sheepshead just as easy as with a salmon.

Open Species are Salmon, Lake Trout, Walleye, SMBass, LMBass, catfish, sheepshead, bowfin, pike, and perch.

Top prize in each species catergory is a new 9.9 4 stroke yamaha and at least a 1000 more cash and stuff

Lots of ways to win it is points system and bonus for catch and released alive after weigh in.

They tore down the hotel i stay in every year for renovations, so me and dad are throwing an anchor on the sandbar and sleeping in the boat.

If you get your slippery self up to Champ i will let you follow me around for a while, but if you catch too many i will run you up on some rocks!! LOL!!!

Thanks for the link Adrien... Looks like quite a derby. Definitely have lots of ways to win and many options of how to register. Am I missing something though? I don't see any mention of prices to enter, just names of stores where you can register.
I wish I could take you up on your offer to "follow you around", but I can not. Not only is it Fathers Day weekend, its Becky's Birthday the 18th. I'd be skinned alive if I went away. Maybe after a couple more years of marriage??? (I'm still a relative newlywed you know!) OR, maybe next year I could sweet talk her into going with me?!

Sounds like a good team you've got there... but I think (by the posts I've read) Roland and Lena will be top contenders too.

I have won 3rd salmon and 4th walleye and matty's brother got a 2nd laker and we were top 20 teams (just me and dad ) a couple times and lots of other top 20 places too. I know roland and lena have been tops in the laker division at lots of derbies up there over the years.
This is Travis's year, now he is due for a big bad boy. The plan is for me to catch an 8.59Lb salmon and travis get a 13.86 Lb laker and we win the whole **** thing! Somebody pinch me!, wait, on second thought i like this one!

Slippery, it is fathers day bring your dad and becky and her dad too. My B-Day is the 16th and my wife is glad to see me go. I have missed her birthday every year for the last 6 because of the annual maine trip first week in June. She'll get over it, just get her a spa gift certificate! that gets me out of a lot of stuff!
