Re: lakers vs landlocks

If more Lakers were present in Squam it would make many 1 fish (or no fish) days much more enjoyable.

It seems that on Winni and other big area Lakes, when the Salmon are off everyone seems to still manage a few Lakers to make the day. Not so on Squam, however, would the Salmon in Squam be as big as they ???? and that to me is much more important.

There are some Lakers in Squam, left overs from early 90's stockings, they do not reproduce there or should I say very, very few are born there as we do manage to catch 1 or 2 a year in the 16" range. The big boys are there but it would take an true expert to drag em up from the bottom. Not to mention how much gear would be added to my under water tackle shop.

Now there's a challenge for the Winni "Laker Magnate", Sir Salty.

Right now Dave's buddy Robert holds the Squam Laker record of the year, 8 pounds/2 ounce, in recent years my 9 pounder (2 years ago) is still tops as far as I know, but there well might hae been others even bigger ?????? I might add Salty, he was caught while fishing for Salmon and not super deep, maybe 30/40 feet I can't remember. I do remember where however and it's not a very deep part of the Lake, amybe 50 to 70 feet deep, so I'm guessing we caught it at 30/40 feet..

Re: Re: Re: Re: lakers vs landlocks

Dave, Slipknot has been lucky so far, soon he will earn a surname (or two) give Adrien some time. You just happen to have several and perhaps a few nothing can be done about.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: lakers vs landlocks

SSSHHH Adrien keeps calling me "Slippery"??? Not a nickname I want... too many misunderstandings...

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: lakers vs landlocks

It has been for weeks now SLIPHOOK, a cloce personal friend of John H. SALMON-OFF. For the days they lost every fish they hooked. and Dave i have been trying to get that donkey off your back, i have a 5 lb salmon tied up in Paugus Bay right in front of Jays boat he feeds it for me, i must have invited you like 5 times to come catch it but same crap about school, kids, and family, WHERE THE HECK ARE YOUR PRIORITIES, DONKEY?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: lakers vs landlocks

Your a hard man Adrien Lavoie.

You knew my handle wouldn't last long, all I had to do was get off your boat and onto my own and we were right back in step. It was your new boat, I had to get used to all the room, used to tighter quarters, actually I had it down pat before we finished fishing that day.

I told Slipknot to be careful and not to screw up as you would have a handle for him before he could blink an eye.

Dave is another story, by the time you get him on the YOAdrien that Salmon will be a 7 pounder, he's very shy and is perhaps nervous he will screw up on your boat.

What you need is LOL Dave, Craig (Slipknot) and me all on one trip, kind of a stress test for both you and the YOAdrien. Maybe we can all walk off with a clean slate, including you getting rid of the skunk.

Have a nice day,

John S.

John H. Pollution, who's building artificial reefs on Squam without a permit.
