I was reading some of the posts yesterday about the lci. things have changed a little this year.If you buy the bonus $10 ticket and break any one of; 13.11 laker
5.44 smallmouth, 9.97 walleye, or 6.94 largemouth, lci fathers day derby fish you will win $25,000 instead of the $10,000 like in previous years. also 1st prize in each of the 7 fish catagories will win a starcraft jon boat with a 2.5hp 4stroke motor plus cash. It will be a nice payday if anyone catches a new record fish.I've got my honey holes picked out and am looking forward to landing some big fish like last year and bigger good luck to all who attend the lci and be safe.
That is a big change from 3 years ago. Back then the 1st place in each catergory was about $5800.00 Looks like this years catergory prizes may only be about a $1500.00 prize. Then you have to pay taxes on what they value it at. No matter how bad it sounds were still going to give it our best shot. We are going up late Saturday(graduation). Sunday monday we will be doing some serious fishing. We will be on channel 68. Good luck.
I'm trying to talk Dave and Slipknot into going, we will use Dave's 12' "John" boat or is it "Jon" boat ??? We will be towed around by the YOAdrien (to save on gas) with a 100'of 1000 lb (or stronger) test Fluorocarbon leader so nobody will know we are being towed.

Maybe we CAN do this event NEXT year??? My real daddy isn't so much into fishing... he'd be looking to jump overboard by the second day. Now that I think about it... maybe its me he can't stand not the fishing LOL???
