Champ Report

At champ 6/3-6/11. on the water Tue. p.m. alone for couple days then guys came till Sun a.m. Lake Very high as everywhere. water temp. a little off this year no real zones set up yet. Checked my notes going back to 1984. Ended up with about a avg. trip total time on water = one fish every 2.5 hrs. Notes back to 1974 on winni shows 1 fish every 3.5 hrs. Luv boating struggle at catching. That being said, champ u do get a varity. Now those # are a avg. some days we get 10 & the next day one. Weather was tough one day wind one way-so we go to this bay, the next another & we go behind this Island. So just get it figured and could not get back there. One a.m. several trips back to camp don't know if it was spices on the prime-rib at OUTBACK or the 6 mudslides I had with it. My good pal Gentle Ben 1988 Evinrude 50 blew up on the second day. Luckey it was the only calm day I was able to tow him in. He was bumbed ruin trip and he went home, I may not have help his attitude by taking a roll of film on way in and playing willey nelson on the road again cranked up on stero. He started talking to me again Tue. I wish I could report a magic lure and depth. Sal. anything-2 colors to 40' on rigger. Only suggestion most luck on sal. 6-colors & 27' on rigger. Silver blue flashking. Togue as we know like a contestant on fear factor will eat anything. Best luck 40' rigger & 9 colors. Big thin hammered suttons. Brown trout 61 gun I think its a monkey peuk. Best fish caught 21' walleye. 29" 8.70 togue 22' 4.12 sal. Alot of small stock sals. hitting. Good luck at LCI Have a great time and take care. don't forget the Gout pills and leave room for jello. w-fat

Re: Champ Report

What areas did you fish?

Re: Re: Champ Report

ou sorry for the spelling and grammer in last post kid was standing over me rushing me something about getting her home work done. Most fish got over 60' of water. Walleye got on flo-org #30 hot shot.Area fished 44*36'x73*17'. Speed has been a factor as I work for the state & can't afford a trolling plate or drift sock. But I was able to buy 2 of Monica Ls. thongs cheap on e-bay. Tied them to the boat put them over the side and able to troll at .31 less than one mph. I think it was the speed, might have been the super juice? Thursday 5:30 p.m. Moose drawing in ME. I'm getting a permit and will tip one over. Then I will call DD from up North to snake it out, as I can't lug a 200lb Buck on my back like the old days let alone drag a moose off the yellow line. Grin of the day. Two people from Hollis were out for a walk and came across some tracks, one says deer tracks the other says to big moose tracks-then the train hit them. Remember breakfast is the best meal of the day, and a real fishpersons favorite is dropped eggs on pop-tarts. good luck w-fat
