Had a Fun day today Nothing huge but fun just the same, except for getting stuck at the Canadian Checkpoint for an hour cause somebody had the exact same name middle initial and last name as my fishing partner and the same birthdate Wow!!!! Come to find out that other guy was on the Watchlist Kind of funny but still took an hour away from fishing UGHHHHHHHHHH Managed to boat 9 small salmon all together and 3 Huge yellow perch, hot lure was DB smelt Mother of Pearl, and blue/silver lure my buddy rob made up, Listened to a bunch of true frenchman complaining that the fishing up there hadn't turned on yet because of the goofy spring they've had up there, even the lakers weren't coperating? Water was the dirtiest i have ever seen it up there kind of looked like the lake was starting to turn over, at least that's what they were saying on the radio? Water temp was between 71-74 depending where you went. No big fish but still fun considering my lead core set-up Kicked A__ today with about 4 to 6 colors out. Overall fun day Got to see some friends that were up there for a 4 day trip and the Weather was Absulutly Gorgeous Sunny all day and close to 90 degrees Hot!!!! But fun!!!!!!! Still ain't got the take down on 1 or 2 lines yet, gotta ask the local guy that goes up there all the time, so today there was 3 of us and we only used 3 lines till we know for sure, we put in about 5 miles on the canadian side right after Derby Line VT. That's pretty much were the deepest part of the lake is over 300' in some places too deep for me to go for a swim and look for them even though today a swim would have felt good LOL Plus a one day Canadian license is only 10.25 or about 8.50 american not too bad.
