has any one tried the downrigger weights with the wick that absorbs the scent that is filled into a cavity in the weight? they have them at cabelas.

I have, I have a film canister that I have drilled 5 holes in the base then run a wire into the center hole in the base attach this to your rigger ball or cable, stuff the canister with a cotton ball from the wife’s makeup bin, apply the scent in the canister then drill 5 holes in the cap. This allows water to flow through the canister and omit the scent. All you need to do is remove the cap and add more every once in a while. things youll cme up with to catch fish, crazy aint it?
