Managed to get on the water this AM at about 5:45 started between welch and sandy dead center. Set up going towards welch. 1st fish of the morning was a decent one but lost it behind the big motor I would say a 18 or 19 inch salmon. Came on pumpkin head [small] 52' above the blades. Next few were rats but fun anyhow caught on the pumkinhead side around the same depth as the first fish. Pulled in a laker 62'around 17" near welch on a monica spoon from fishlander. Kept changing stuff when the wonderbread side went up [46']and pulled in an 18 inch salmon. popped more rods with no results. slowed down for me around 8:45. Went over towards the broads when I ended up with another 18" salmon over 100+ water on another fishlander spoon called margareta very close to the pumkinhead in color. All in all a great morning talked to quite a few people. Travis, slipknot'rattlesnake,Nuttyfisherman, and also heard ardvark talking to travis nice to hear his voice on the big pond agian. My results not huge but I had a great time.
I thought I heard Aardvark out there, but wasn't sure. Good to hear he's back in town.
What exactly is the "pumpkin head" you guys were talking about? I heard many of you referring to it today, but can't for the life of me remember what lure it is.
We ran white/blue and pink/blue top gun glow lures first thing... followed by mixtures of solid white, brass/orange, all orange, pink/silver, green/silver, purple and yellow/brass... in DBs, top guns, mini guns, needlefish and homemades. Only style that didn't do quite as well were the DBs?
Pulled out right behind Charlie's Charters at 5:50. Set up between Diamond and the Snake. Fished until 11am.

Slipknot - It was nice to talk to you, however so briefly. I was hoping a day on the lake with radio in hand might increase my catch a bit. Nevertheless, the radio died just as I was trying to contact Charlie's Charters. Maybe next time.
The rods without flashers definitely out-produced those with. I was told by Alan at AJ's that this is NOT the norm.
