So things started out great. Got out to the Sandy/Welch area around 6am and saw lots of other fisherman out there. (I need to get a portable VHF.)
Caught my largest salmon so far with a copper/orange TG on about 8 colors.
Then the bad stuff. While getting the Salmon on board my other rod got snagged. I ended up realing in someone's old lead core line. (just the core-no colors left)
Then about a 1/2 hour after that I got both lines caught again and lost the gear on both. (Bad news for me, Good news for AJ!)
Got pounded in the waves heading back to Moultonboro-very rough for 7:30am.
Frustrating day, but will try again later this week!
