Had a great day today,boated 18 fish only one was a short salmon,3 lakers, the other 14 were nice healthy salmon we had doubles around 11 I reeled in the first one a fat female 4.4lbs I almost lost it close to the boat and I pleaded with Matty to take the rod and he refused and just talked me thru it we knew it was a beauty and I thought for sure it was going to be the one that got away.{thanks Matty}In the mean time Wayne was tiring out the other one, got him in the boat fat male 4.2lbs they looked like twins.I would like to thank Matty for a wonderful trip,beautiful day and all the great fish.Thanks to Brian as well he tied some nice flies and always reset my line.Ran 2 spoons and 4 flies,14 fish on flies,4 on lures.
Awesome... was wondering how you made out today. Sounds like the catch rate of short salmon is getting smaller. Good to hear that. Either they're getting big real quick or they're stuffed with real smelt and not biting lures.
