Fished Squam, the land of no salmon, with White Cap, 10 bass all on lead core, several hits on DR, nobody home. John S and Salty, sorry I missed your calls, had the phone on vibrate, as you can see you did not miss anything. We call Salty several times on VHF, didn’t get through, and heard Salty several times, weak and broken up. As usual the bottom of the lake was cover with fish and bait it looks like a blanket. Back to Winni, at least the runts will bite.
Getting so I wont even put any lead core out this time of year, but then again it's allmost fly and streamer time again ????? Wonder how they will work off the riggers, never tried that, usually run them off the boards that we put back after Labor day.
Sorry about the bad day brother, it's a Lake not for the weak at heart. But I know you, you'll go to Winni for a fix and be back to the LOTG before long, you've had a taste more than once.. The best month is yet to come, when all the big boys (big males) come out to play.

Tried flies on the lead core, only bass. No problem in using flies on DR done that plenty of times with great results. Taking my grandson out on Wed on Winni. Plan on running some flies and lures, 50/50,he will be reeling in all the fish, I'm the driver.
Sounds like a fun day, I took my grandson out on Squam, he was bored in an hour, so we went Bass fishing, caught allot of Bass. They (BAss) are good fish to catch, but not when your out for Salmon.
