Re: Sunday winni charter report

fished 5:30 - 10:30 with a 3 man charter, some really great guys that came up from Connecticut. We got WET but we had some great fun. Started slow for an hour or so and then we started banging them pretty steady.
Colors were orange, yellow, and white.
Depths were from 32-48 down.
Speed fluctuated wildly in the wind but usually about 2 mph.
Only Used spoons
The guys Kept 1 salmon and 1 laker each and also 2 Giant White Perch.
Days totals were 22 fish - 12 salmon with only 4 rats and 8 lakers and 2 Jumbo Perch.

Picture is Left to Right Joe, Chris, and John. All the fish they are holding are 18 - 20 inches. They all kept 1 of each Salmon / Laker. Some of the salmon that got tossed back were 20-21 inches and in the high 3's Because they were keeping only 1 of each.

Looks like a fun group of guys... The one on the left should enter a Jim Zumbo look alike contest.

Re: Re: Sunday winni charter report

Those giant white perch are the next best thing to stripers for the table. In my opinion the best eating fish in the lake. My wife is upset with me because I didn't get any keeper stripers, so white perch will have to do. (for now)

Salty

Piece of cake.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Sunday winni charter report

We get a load of sub legal stripers out of Hilton S.P.,less than the 28",but across the river in Maine they would be legal to keep.Kind of a crazy law, fish in the same water body but different keeper sizes. We get them on top water lures on the Maine side early morning out going tide. Then move over to the NH side when the tide turns and get them on bait,(clams, cut herring, macks).Little bay lobster co docks and the gypsum plant docks always plenty of fish, just not many NH keepers, but plenty of fun.
