Went out with my Dad, Godchild, Daughter and hunting buddy of my Dad's, Started the first drive, sat in the rain for 2 hours UGHHHHHHHHh (Daughter was smart she sat in the truck LOL) Dad going through woods Nephew walking up the road and Son #1 and other guys sitting in woods further up road. Dad comes on radio tells nephew i think i just jumped one and he's heading for the road be ready!!!!!! Wooo Hoooo nephew is about 200yds down the road from me so i know if it comes it's either him or me, all of a sudden BANG!!!!!! Yeah somebody got one!!!!!!!! Dad had shot but he's in between me and the other guy, i stand up and motion for nephew to hurry up and come down the road in case it crosses the road, just as he gets to me and starts walking further down the road this huge Doe jumps across the road UGHHHHHHH no shot cause nephew is 50' ahead of me and by the time he pulls his hammer back deer is gone UGHHHHHHH all of a sudden i look to my left and i see a big skipper trying to sneak by, i pick up the old 58 cal. H+R and wait for her to get in the open, then i look out of the corner of my left eye There's a bigger Doe UGHHHHHHH being greedy i turn and concentrate on the bigger doe, she's standing behind a clump of tree's just as I'm waiting for her to stand in the open Dad calls on the radio UGHHHHH just as i pull the trigger doe takes an about face and goes the other way SH____T just my luck needless to say i didn't get mine and dad missed his (bumped his red dot getting out of the truck "didn't notice the loose screw UGHHH" and his dot was off by a foot UGHHHHHH) ended up seeing 3 deer this morning in the pouring rain, and our buddy had two going this afternoon at a different location but never seen them. Oh well the season is still young but boy did it feel good to get the adrenalin going Wooo Hooo gotta love the smell of Pyrodex LOL Till next time!!!!!!!!!
