I need some info on these engines 2-stroke and 4-stroke. My reason is I am really tempted to purchase a grady white in the very near future and Gradys Have been coming with yamahas for quite some time. I have never owned one. I would like any input from a yamaha owner if possible. I have never heard anything negitive about them [yamaha outboards]. Keep in mind I always have owned evinrudes & honda kickers. All the gradys I have looked at so far have older yamahas. I will be buying used due to the fact gradys are big bucks which I do not have.
I have a 2002 4 stroke yamaha kicker on my Penn Yan and love it. I have never put money in it and it runs great. I can troll down to .6 miles per hour with no buckets or any drawbacks.
