Looks like the hard drive has to go out for hopefully successful full recovery, my son busted his hump for 4 or 5 days to no avail, ran out of options. Have to get the data back as it has all my directions on how to fish and my logs, not to mention the rest of my life..
I have new little back up of my own now, cost about 130.00, it's called "Robocopy", one click at the end of the day and it's all backed up. I believe it also can be scheduled to back up, but I tried that before and I think I'd rather do it myself. All I do is click on the icon on my desk top and away she goes.
I think everyone that does not have a simple easy to use back up should get one, you don't realize how important the information stored there is until you loose it. Would make an excellent Christmas gift for someone important in your life.

Berlin, NH is the coldest place on earth, last time I was there they had an indoor skating rink, no electricity to freeze the ice, they just leave the doors open (when needed) LOL, Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
