Canvas work

A while back there was a question about who did Canvas work, etc. My guy is Bob Cilly of Northeast Fiberglass, he has a shop at his home in Laconia (nights and weekends)and another shop on the Squam River. He does excellent canvas work and also fiberglass, gel coat, etc. repairs. He's not terribly busy this time of year so if you need any canvas work, give him a call.

Another shop is Kimball's Canvas in Holderness, NH, never used him but he has a good reputation in the Squam Lake area.

Just don't do like John and hit the Garage 3 weeks after you have the canvas done LOL Oh by the way it wasn't his fault it was the girl at the marina who shoved us off LOL on a side note she was cute LOL Take Care God Bless and Hurry up 4/1/07 I want another chance at that Squam Monster that kicked my butt last year LOL---LOL Dave From up North

Re: Re: Canvas work

When we were headed for the Marina rood, Dave grabbed the 400.00 downrigger, screw the 2000.00 canopy. By the way, I called today and it's all fixed, wasn't that bad anyhow hardly leaked at all, it was just that it was "new" and I could see it everytime I was in the boat.

David's little girl is doing great, tomorrow she sees a surgeon that will make some decisions on if any grafting needs to be done. Every day it's into Shriners in Boston to change the dressing.

If memory serves me correctly I had only been off of the crutches for a little over a month, I thought i had a better chance of not breaking an arm by grabbing the rigger, if i'd i've tried grabbing the canopy i think that garage would have probably torn my arm off LOL Plus that was the day i got my Donkey nickname LAMO Take Care God Bless and I'm drooling thinking of April UGHHHHHHHHHh LOL Dave From up North

Re: Re: Re: Re: Canvas work

I'm only teasing you, I haven't bought gas there since and I let them know why. With that wind and current on the channel we needed a better push off than she gave us. If she watched us to make sure we got clear of the building it would have been fine, she could have pushed us away allot easier than you trying from a moving boat, oh well.

I go to Riveredge Marina now, they have a kid that's told to wait at the dock for gas customers, sometimes two, no waiting, less boat traffic, excellent service and allot easier to get in and out. Squam Boats allways has a couple of boats tied (un-attended) up at the gas dock, makes docking a big boat very difficult even when the current in the channel is not moving fast. Gas is cheaper at Riveredge too.
