We don't just troll this along on it's own - pump the rod - you decide how often and short or long. When you pull the streamer comes toward the boat - fast! You most often have a good amount of line out - before it comes tight again the splitshot causes the streamer to drop. Think of a veritical "s" curve in the line. It doesn't last long but, many times it's just enough to charge them up into biting.
Most fishpeople from the Keene area started out with medalist set-up by Ora Smith. Over the years we have evolved to Martins or level wind Penns etc. But the one to one still can be fun.
