there's about 5-8 inches on some of the smaller ponds up my way, they've been killing the smelt jigging and catching a few bows, if ya want some directions throw me an email and i will send them to ya. Take Care God Bless LOL Dave From up North
There are a couple of places just north of Berlin that are fishable but well known and getting crowded (from what I heard).
Heard that north of there was actually worst up in Pittsburg with Francious just earning it's skim and the 1st almost completely wide open. The 3rd with an inch or more but still not what it should be this time of the year.
Between southern NH and the white moutains there are a handful of iffy locations that people have found fishable ice but still scary with 2-3 inches on average for the reports.
If you can wait another week, you will be much better off.
I stood on about an inch of solid black ice on Friday morning on a pond in New Boston but you would not catch me out there today with the past two days being warmer including last night.
If you are ambitious enough ice can be found. Be safe and good luck!
