Left work a little early yesterday afternoon and picked up the grandsons to try our luck with some late afternoon white perch fishing. We were on on the ice about 4pm and did not stop chasing flags until after dark. It took us over an hour to get three traps in as the flags kept popping! Bailey(7) and Drew(4) had a blast racing each other to the flags and then dicussing who had the biggest fish. Boys caught most on their own with a lot of misses. We caught a total of 8 and lost probaly twice that many....part of the learning curve. I even showed the boys how to lose a couple(:
We returned home around 6:30pm and filleted the fish and cooked dinner for Mom and Grammy. The boys were proud of themselves.
Couple of other groups in our area and they seemed to be chasing flags a well.
Great couple of hours on ice with two great little fishermen!
Sounds like you and your Grandkids had a great time.I love to watch kids faces light up when they catch a fish. They will always remember that trip and will remind you of the fish you LOST(LOL).Great post.
