Today I Led a group of boy scouts from Troop 12 in Hollis, NH on a Learn to Ice Fish day on a Local Pond in Hollis. We had 8 boy scouts from 12-16 yrs old and a mother and a couple dads. Special thanks for helping me get this together is to Scot Pettengill "Scot's affordable tree service" - Joe Catalano "Granite State Rod and Reel Repair" - Martin C. or "Togue" from this board and Josh Wilder.
We started out the first few hours showing them how it's done with their hands on everything and by 10 or 11 am they were doing everything themselves, baiting setting and landing.
At least 50 fish came through the ice today. We went through 10 dozen shiners on only 2 dozen traps. Everything was released. All Perch Pickerel and Bass. It was warm sunny and we had hot dogs and hot chocolate and snowmobile rides to and from flags. It went better than i could have hoped for and i am certain it will be a yearly thing and maybe more than once a year.
YoAdrien As always great job with the kids. The smiles on there faces tell all. It's great to see every one having a good time. And thanks to the other sponsors that helped make it happen. Those kids will talk about that trip for ever.

Nice job Adrian and thank you for potentially 8 more fishermen for the future.
This is exactly why I think we (Fishlakewinni.com) should be promoting "Take a Kid Fishing" and why you will hear a presentation at the "Gathering" for promoting such.
