Have any of you guys had any luck using dodgers in the springtime when fishing up high, like within 5 feet from the top? If so, what type of dodger do you use, and what is behind it for bait? I seem to have no luck with this??, but seem to be very successful with a dodger and fly combo on leadcore 4-8 colors.

capt turtle sorry I dont have an answer but I was wondering how far back you run the fly from the dodger at 4-8colors and what size dodger you use?

I use the medium size, sometimes the large one, with a streamer fly i set it 12-15 inches behind, with a topgun or db i string it 24-36 behind, both of the mentioned seem to produce very well for me.
