My boy's AJ and Mark wanted to try a different lake so we headed for Ossipee this afternoon. We got 8 salmon, 2 rainbows, and about 6 white perch. Haven't been there since I was a boy. Went to Camp Huckins about a 100 years ago. Fished 3 lines on riggers and 3 on boards. Had triples once. 2 salmon over 18" and a rainbow. Just about had the lake to ourselves. 3 to five colors on boards and 16' to 24' on riggers. All fish caught on Guide Special lures. Oh yeah, a couple on db smelt white/red dots. Saw a ton of fish on the sand bar going through the channel. They didn't look like bass or suckers. We couldn't identify them. If they were rainbows or browns they were big!
If you were coming from the ramp in the channel and heading out into the main lake, I see big suckers congregate on the right as you're just splitting the sets of markers. Is this where you saw them?
