my boat trailer tire size is 175/80R13 ie.(13 inch tires) have air pressure at 35 psi. which i believe is about where i should have it but the tires say max. pressure of 50 psi... any thoughts on the matter ??
How heavy is your boat? I would run max pressure minus 4 lbs that the tire states....but you also need the proper rated tire. The tire will tell you on the sidewall max weight also it will also tell you load range, like C or D or E....so one axle 2 tires would be x2 for the load capacity...if its more your ok if its less you will need higher load rated tire that will also hold higher pressure.polebreaker

Assuming that you have ST rated trailer tires on your trailer, the tires are speed limited to 65 mph max. at full tire air pressure, any under inflation will degrade the tire carrying capacity and speed.
