Lena and I spent alot of hours on the water. All mornings on the water by 4am fishing by 4:30 and myself not off till dark. The fishing started off difficult on Friday and then Saturday we ran into a better quality of fish. Sunday morning we found quality fish again. Lena was able to weigh in a Salmon on Saturday at 2.86 lbs, which got her a nice Rod and reel and Sunday we fished for Lake Trout for an extremly short time and I got lucky and landed a 23" lake Trout at 4.22 wighed in at 11:25am. That was good enough for a nice down rigger rod and reel. Most fish were caught on leadcore but the bigger fish were all caught on one rigger at 22ft all with the same special DB lure. Popeye and Hal also have one.
It was fun listening to all the stories when the fishing got slow. The best story is Travis tape measure that measures 1 inch short. We'll be on Squam this weekend and bouncing around on a couple of other lakes, good luck.
